...is how quickly words go from being essentially unused in the public lexicon to grossly overused in a matter of weeks.

For instance; YOLO, Fleek, and even Fracas (thanks Jeremy + BBC).

But the latest offender is Coup , which we can thank Turkey for popularizing lately. Its like journalists read a word somewhere and then decide they want to expand their vocabulary and use it. Unfortunately all other journalists do the same at the same time.

Look at this bandwagoning— They may as well be overnight Seahawks or Cavs fans:

I mean, come on........ Another word ruined for the future.

Anyway, enough about the word Coup, a Koup for your time:

I detest how currently anyone that makes a decent counter-argument has “eviscerated” someone, and how anything that is less common than a house fly is now a “unicorn.” These words are so over-used.
